Stressed out!

I have been so stressed lately.
I'm not sure why.
I'm exhausted....where were all the excitements that I had when I moved to SF?
I guess I really need to take a break from everything.
After I finish taking CSET, I will officially take start changing my resident to state of California.
God please release my stress, I'm so tired.
I'm praying for my 9th graders, I feel they are a little bit tough, give me a strength to handle things.

I'm going Taiwan today. God please give me an awesome time there!

Treasure Island

I met a friend last week who came to SF to take the exam.
After 2 months of living in SF, I think I know the city quite well now.
I took him to Treasure Island to see the city lights of SF.
The night was clear and we could see the city clearly.

we talked for a long time at Treasure Island.
It was really nice to hear how God has done and changed in his life.
It is a great encouragement for me to continue pursuing and seeking in God's will.
He is a mature Christian and a man that goes after God's heart.
I don't usually meet guys like him often. He has left after the weekend. I'm not sure if I would see him again. 'm praying that God's will for his life and future will be made known.
God has showed me that he is kind of the man that I should be looking for in the future who has heart for God and pursuing his words.

Tahoe

yay finally I have been to Tahoe to ski.
I went to skiing at Kirkwood resort.
It's been 6 years since the last time I skied.
I think next time I'm going to try snowboard.

God you really have been so good to me.
I'm so lucky to live in this city.

The End of February

I cannot believe today is the last day of February. well,after a few minutes it will be in March. Farewell February 2011!
I have now been living in San Francisco for a month now.
I have received so many blessings.
Thanks God!
February is the month of love: Valentine's Day.
I did recevive a lot of love this month.

I remember last year of this month I wrote a freewrite to the person I was quite into for a long time.
It is funny about reading this piece again because I remember after I completed this writing I told myself I would move on completely which I asbsoultely did. God has found him the one. He is getting married soon in Spring and I am so happy for him : )! Congratulations!
Indeed it is not God's plan for us and I know for sure now God has a better plan for me : ).

Why my heart is in San Francisco?

How I ended up in San Francisco?
Well, long story short...so when I started my road trip back in September last year,
I was looking for a city that embraces diversity and cultures.
After 4 months of searching, I found San Francisco! This is where I wanted to be and where my heart is.
One of the main reasons I moved to SF because I found a local church that I fond of and the people there are dear to my heart. I believe God would use me greatly at the church and the community of San Francisco. So just three weeks ago,I saw a clear sign from God and his calling for me to move to SF. So I drove to SF without anything. But with God's blessing, I was able to find a job immediately the next day. I am now teaching Math and Mandarin at one of the Charter high schools in Oakland ( btw, the students are supper well-behaved :).
My goal for 2011 was to find a city I like and live there for at least one year. which I already did. Here I am in San Francisco. I am committed to living in SF for at least a year. My new goal for this year is to keep my blog updated at least once a week!

Just the past few weeks, I have already met a lot of friends and explored a lot of things in the city.

one of my favorite thing to do in SF is Nightlife@ the CA Academy of Sciences on Thursday. I have already been there 3 times the past month. I think this could be one of the reasons I moved to SF as well : )!

Committed to blogging in 2011!

WOW!! Yes I do have a blog and it's been more than a year since the last time I updated my blog. so everything below this post was more than a year ago! Gosh what was I thinking back then?
The reason I created this blog was to keep my journey in Australia. But I didn't blog at all in Australia due to the lack of internet at my homestay's house in Perth, Australia.

I got back from Australia last summer. I definitely felt I have become another person. I have grown overall as a person. God has revived my faith amazingly in Australia and I have become a real traveler.

Well, I returned back to Atlanta, GA where I've lived for many years. However, I didn't like living in Georgia anymore. I really wanted change!
So in September 2010, I decided to take a road trip alone around the US and was seeking for the city that I wanted to live in the future.

I started in the East coast, I drove from GA->NC->DC->PA->NY->MA->NH->ME...then drove all the way down to FL then drove back to DC for some event.
After that, I decided to try the West Coast so I started again from Atlanta, GA->New Orleans,LA->Baton Rouge, LA->Austin,TX->San Antonio,TX->El Paso, TX->Tuscon, AZ, San Diego, CA->Los Angeles, CA->San Francisco, CA-> Portland, OR ->Seattle, WA.

During my road trip, I found a short term job in Tuscon, AZ so after I reached my final destination in Seattle,WA... I drove down to Tuscon, AZ to work. But just 3 weeks ago, I heard God's calling for me to go to the city called San Francisco. With all God's blessings, here I am in San Francisco! From now on, I will be blogging about my life in San Francisco and why my heart is in San Francisco. I will try to update my blog at least once a week.
